I've just learned how to make a blog! It's really quite easy and now I will be able to communicate with friends and family while travelling.
I have two weeks off right now and am slowly (very slowly) going through all my stuff to determine how best to dispose of the things I don't want to keep, decide what I really want to store and what I will need on my grand adventure.
Having only a dial-up connection, searching the Internet has been a real hassle, taking up most of today, to download important things like a Power of Attorney form, checking with OHIP to see if I can remain eligible while gone, and fun things like ordering Scrabble and Crossword CD ROM's to help the time pass on the road.
So, Fiona is ready - her vaccinations are done, and I have her medication. Me next. I went for a physical yesterday and will be having bloodwork done tomorrow, plus a bone density scan and mammogram, just to be sure before embarking into the hinterlands of the US of A where it is difficult to get medical care without cash upfront.
And now, on to create a database for hockey memorabilia that I want to sell. Plus many other things! What a job!
